AI Hands-on Workshop | “Beginner-Friendly” Starting with Codex: Master the Core Thinking and Productivity Skills of the AI Era
AI Hands-on Workshop |【Beginner-Friendly】Transform scattered AI usage into a sustainable, reusable working method.
Many people already know how to use AI now.
Writing copy, summarizing, researching information, revising proposals — none of this is unfamiliar.
But when it comes to real work, it's still very easy to fall back into old habits:
Start a new project, and you have to re-explain the background;
Switch to a new task, and you have to restate the requirements;
You finally fine-tune a satisfactory result, but next time you start from scratch anyway.
You use AI a lot, yet very little actually gets accumulated.
We've already run 6 rounds of AI courses, and we've gradually discovered that where people get stuck may not be about "which AI tool they still don't know how to use."
Rather, many people's usage patterns are still stuck in one-off, ad-hoc conversations.
The key to truly integrating AI into your work is to let it gradually understand:
what this project is,
how you prefer to work,
which rules must always be followed,
and which proven methods can be directly reused next time.
Once these things begin to be preserved, AI is no longer a chat assistant that has to get to know you from scratch every time — it slowly becomes a collaborator that can continuously participate in a project.
So we've restructured the complete course system:
Codex → Project Rules → Skill → AI Works → AI Workbench.
This complete system is fairly extensive.
From Codex fundamentals, project rules, AGENTS.md / DESIGN.md, to Skills, web pages and WeChat mini-programs, and then to external Skills, Multi-agent, MCP, and a more complete AI workbench.
We don't intend to cram dozens of knowledge points into you in a single day.
Because we're increasingly certain:
The most valuable part of offline learning isn't "absorbing more content," but rather having an instructor guide you hands-on through the places where you'd most easily get stuck when learning on your own.
So this 8-hour workshop focuses only on the most critical chain:
Entering a project → Establishing rules → Creating Skills → Completing a work.
The more complete course content will be continued through the accompanying online video lessons for further study and review.
🔧 Before the workshop
Computer environment and account configuration is the first hurdle many people hit when using Codex for the first time.
We'll provide configuration tutorials in advance to help you complete the basic setup.
This ensures you can start working right away on the day, without wasting time on installation, login, and permission issues.
This is also a beginner-friendly workshop.
No programming experience required, and no technical background needed. As long as you're willing to get hands-on and articulate your own needs clearly, you can follow along and complete the exercises.
🔧 What happens on the day of the workshop? (Time: 09:30 - 18:00)
01 How do I hand a real task to AI?
We'll start with a real project, letting Codex read files, understand context, formulate a plan, and move the task forward step by step.
You'll truly understand: when it's appropriate to use ChatGPT, and when you should move into a Codex project.
02 How do I avoid explaining everything from scratch every time?
Learn the basic logic behind rule files like AGENTS.md and DESIGN.md.
Understand which information should be communicated to AI on a long-term basis, and which standards should be accumulated, rather than restated every single time.
Let AI evolve from a one-off chat assistant into a collaborator that genuinely participates in your projects.
03 How do I turn a task done once into something I can keep using later?
Learn to judge which tasks are worth turning into Skills, and create your own Skill on the spot.
Accumulate validated working methods so that AI can reliably reuse them in the future, instead of starting over every time.
04 How do I actually build something real from an idea?
Under the instructor's guidance, you'll use Codex to organize your introduction, experience, capabilities, works, or projects into a personal homepage.
From organizing requirements and determining structure, to generating pages and refining details, you'll fully experience the process of working with AI to turn an idea into reality.
You don't need to understand code.
The focus is on learning how to articulate an idea clearly, how to collaborate with AI, and how to drive things forward step by step to a result.
🔧 After the workshop
After the offline workshop concludes, we'll provide the latest online course videos to help everyone continue building out the complete course system, and to make it easy to review the material repeatedly after class.
At the same time, we'll arrange online work showcases and 14 days of Q&A in the instructor's group.
Participants will pair up in teams of two to continue developing a small project after class, and can ask questions directly in the group when they encounter problems in practice. You'll also see how others use AI, break down tasks, and solve problems — gaining inspiration from each other's work.
💡 After one day, you'll have at least completed these transformations
From only using AI in a chat box, to knowing how to bring AI into a real project.
From re-explaining everything every time, to knowing how to establish long-term project rules.
From getting a result to work once, to personally building a reusable Skill.
From "knowing AI can do a lot," to truly completing a work together with AI.
Beyond the single offline day, there's also a complete online course
Where you'll continue learning:
Codex fundamentals and the workbench
Project rules and DESIGN.md
Creating, managing, and evaluating Skills
Web pages and WeChat mini-programs
External Skills
Multi-agent, MCP, and automated collaboration
Offline, we'll guide you through the parts where people get stuck most easily, and you can continue learning the rest at your own pace.

Hands-on Platform: Codex
Codex is the AI coding assistant launched by OpenAI, and it's the core hands-on platform for this workshop.
What makes it most different: it's not just a dialog box — it can actually enter your project folder and work — reading your background files, generating and modifying documents, and recording the results of every step. You give it a task, and it will tell you how it plans to approach it, which files it changed, and what you should check next.
No coding knowledge needed. All you need is to articulate your idea clearly, and it will help you move it forward.
👥 This workshop is right for you if —
You've used AI, but you're still stuck in the chat box
You can write copy and summarize, but you don't know how to bring AI into real work.
You want to use AI to boost productivity, but you always get stuck at the first step
You don't know how to break down tasks, how to provide files, or how to revise results.
You have lots of repetitive work and want AI to handle it reliably for you
You want to distill high-frequency tasks like content, research, proposals, and retrospectives into reusable methods.
You don't understand code, but you still want to use Codex
This isn't a programmer-only course.
The focus is on using Codex to build your own AI workbench and complete a work you can showcase.
You want to create your own AI-powered work
If you've always wanted to build a personal homepage, portfolio page, or project introduction page but didn't know where to start, this will be a great starting point.
